Michigan Wolverines vs. Kansas St. Wildcats

The Michigan Wolverines and the Kansas State Wildcats face off on Saturday in Arizona in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. The Wildcats are -4 point favorites over the Wolverines with an over/under point total set at 55. The Michigan Wolverines had a disappointing year losing four of their last five games including coming up short against Ohio State in their annual rivalry game. Michigan Struggled early against lesser opponents like UConn and Akron and it carried over into their Big Ten schedule. Devin Gardener has completed 60.3 percent of his passes with 21 touchdowns and 11 touchdowns and while he made some big plays he made some horrible decisions as well and he also rushed for 483 yards as he gained 829 rushing yards and lost 346 yards. Gardener is doubtful for this one so it could be Shane Morris under center. Fitzgerald Toussaint has rushed for 723 yards and Read More

West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Kansas St. Wildcats

The West Virginia Mountaineers and the Kansas State Wildcats face off on Saturday in Morgantown in a game between contrasting styles in the Big 12.  The Mountaineers are -5 point favorites over the Wildcats with an over/under point total set at 74. The West Virginia Mountaineers looked to be off to the races putting up big numbers every game and lighting up the scoreboard but it all came to a crashing halt last Saturday in Lubbock as WVU fell to Texas Tech in a game that wasn’t close. Geno Smith was looking like a sure fire Heisman Trophy winner and he still may be as he has completed 75.3 percent of his passes for 25 touchdowns and he hasn’t thrown an interception. Andrew Buie is averaging 4.8 yards per carry and he has scored five touchdowns. The WVU receivers are led by Tavon Austin with 67 catches and eight touchdowns Read More

Syracuse Orange vs. Kansas St. Wildcats

The Syracuse Orange and the Kansas State Wildcats face off for a round two NCAA Tournament match up with a trip to the sweet 16 going to the winner.  The Orange are -5.5 point favorites over the Wildcats with an over/under point total set at 134.5. The Syracuse Orange looked like one of the clear favorites to win the NCAA Tournament this season but with the suspension of Fab Melo confidence in Jim Boeheim’s ability to win it all is waning. Syracuse did nothing in round one to make the public more confident in their ability to overcome Melo’s suspension as they struggled against UNC-Ashville before getting a seven point win, a number that was padded by some controversy and the usual end of the game fouling. The Orange shot 44.6 percent from the floor and 70.8 percent of the line and while Melo’s presence was clearly missing defensively what Read More

Kansas St. Wildcats vs. Arkansas Razorbacks

The Kansas State Wildcats face the Arkansas Razorbacks in the Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium Friday.  The Razorbacks are -8 point favorites over the Wildcats with an over/under point total set at 62.5. Bill Snyder and Kansas State look for a program tying eleventh victory and a rebound from a 36-34 defeat to Syracuse in the 2010 Pinstripe Bowl. With only 343 total yards, the Wildcats offense was #96 but got quite a bit of mileage with 33 points per game led by the rush which produced 194 yards (#27). It wasn’t that quarterback Colin Klein was a complete disaster through the air because he was a viable passer, completing 145 of 251 throws for 1,745 yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. Klein’s favorite target was Chris Harper with 39 catches for 536 yards and five touchdowns with Tramaine Thompson and Tyler Lockett each had 18 receptions for a Read More

Kansas St. Wildcats vs. Iowa St. Cyclones

The Kansas State Wildcats look for their 10th win of the season as they host the upset minded Iowa State Cyclones.  The Wildcats are -11 point favorites over the Cyclones. It’s been a magical year for Bill Snyder and the Kansas State Wildcats as there was so little expected from this team that accomplished so much. Collin Klein is one of the more under rated players in college football this season but he has been spectacular grinding out first downs and manufacturing yards. For the season Klein has completed 58.5 percent of his passes for 1,587 yards with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions while rushing for 1,013 yards and 25 touchdowns. John Hubert’s numbers don’t look all that impressive but his 4.7 yards per carry average and 813 yards all seem to come when the Cats need it most. Chris Harper has 39 catches and five touchdowns and Tyler Lockett Read More

Kansas St. Wildcats vs. Oklahoma Sooners

The Kansas State Wildcats look to remain undefeated as they host the Oklahoma Sooners in a Big 12 College Football showdown on Saturday.  The Sooners are -13.5 favorites over the Wildcats with an over/under point total set at 59. Of all of the surprise teams in College Football this year it would be tough to find on more surprising than Bill Snyder’s Kansas State Wildcats. No coach does more with less over the years than Snyder but maybe it was his roster that underestimated this season. QB Collin Klein may  not be as flashy as most of the QB’s in the nation but the results merit Heisman consideration and while he’s completed 59.4 percent of his passes for eight touchdowns and three interceptions he has also run for 670 tough yards and 14 touchdowns. When it isn’t Klein keeping it himself it’s been John Hubert who has 637 yards. The Read More

Kansas St. Wildcats vs. Kent St. Golden Flashes

The Kansas State Wildcats host the Kent State Golden Flashes as the two meet in Manhattan on Saturday.  The Wildcats are -15 point favorites over the Golden Flashes. Kansas State did all they could to try and hand their first game to FCS Eastern Kentucky but in the end Bill Snyder’s team rallied for the win. It was turnover central for the Wildcats as they fumbled five times, losing four of them and threw an interception as they outgained EKU 303 to 129 in yards but on the scoreboard it took a fourth quarter touchdown to get the win. Collin Klein showed why choosing a QB was a tough call for KSU as they just don’t have a solid player at that position this season as Klein was 13 for 21 for 128 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the win. Klein ran 25 times for 78 yards Read More

Kansas St. Wildcats

Overview: Bill Snyder is working his magic again. After retiring as head coach he returned in 2009 and last season the Wildcats went Bowling. The question of whether he can build on that success and get the program back to elite status is on the minds of the Kansas State faithful. A solid running game and an improved defense would be a step in the right direction but that probably isn’t enough to get the job done this year but steady improvement each year could eventually make the Wildcats a dangerous club. Offense: Kansas State wasn’t a throwing team in 2010 and with quarterback Carson Coffman’s graduation their might be even fewer footballs in the air. Collin Klein might be the logical choice to take over after running for 432 yards on 76 totes and throwing for another 138. However, don’t be surprised if JUCO transfer Justin Tuggle is the Read More

Texas who was 6-point road favorites, took a 48-33 lead into the locker room and then fell victim to Alec Burks in the final 20 minutes. Burks tallied 33 points to lead all scorers and grabbed 10 rebounds to record his third double-double for the season, all coming in Big 12 action at home. The defeat was the second straight on the road for Texas after dropping a 70-67 decision at Nebraska as 6-point underdogs a week earlier. Colorado’s 91 points marked a season-high against a Read More
