Indianapolis Colts v Tennessee Titans

This week’s Thursday Night Football Game pits the Indianapolis Colts against the Tennessee Titans in a match-up of two AFC South foes.

The winner of this game still has a chance in that division. The loser is all but certain to miss the playoffs. For the Colts, it would be the first time they missed the playoffs since 2001.

The current line for this game on has the Colts favored by 3 points (-105) and a total of 46.5. I think the Colts are a great play here.

In terms of betting the Colts, this team is simply too good to continue to lose games. Yes, they have their fair share of injuries. But they should be getting some help back for this game against the Titans. Austin Collie is expected to be active for the game, while starting running back Joseph Addai is questionable to play.

Additionally, Indianapolis has won 3 straight games against Tennessee.

While the Colts have struggled recently, that pales in comparison to Tennessee’s recent performance. The Titans have lost 5 straight games after starting the season out impressively at 5-2. They have scored 6 points over their last two games, and there is no sign that fans should be optimistic. Between Rusty Smith and Kerry Collins, who came back from injury to face Jacksonville, the Titans’ offense has been putrid. Smith compiled a miserable 25.0 passer rating in 2 starts, and Collins completed just 14 of 32 passes with 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the loss to the Jaguars. Randy Moss has just 5 catches for 62 yards and no touchdowns in 4 games since the Titans signed the all-pro wide receiver after he was placed on waivers by the Minnesota Vikings.

If you read all of this and are still unsure about betting Indianapolis (for whatever reason that may be), then maybe this trend will ease some of your concern. Indianapolis has lost 3 straight games. They have not lost 4 straight games since 2001, when Peyton Manning was in his 4th year.
