Harbaugh was hired away from the San Francisco 49ers, and is set to make a salary similar to what he made in the NFL. A former Michigan quarterback, he built successful programs at struggling San Diego and Stanford in his previous two college head coaching gigs, and has an opportunity to rebuild the Wolverines into the dynasty they once were.

Harbaugh is expected to be introduced to the students at Michigan’s Tuesday basketball game against Illinois, and students are hosting a “Khaki Out” to welcome the head coach to Ann Arbor. Ticket prices for the game have reportedly quadrupled since the announcement was rumored.
