T.Y. Hilton expected to play Week 17, still a fantasy risk
The Colts expect T.Y. Hilton to be back for the regular season finale. We break down the fantasy implications.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is expected to make his return against the Tennessee Titans in Week 17. Hilton is dealing with a hamstring injury and was forced to miss last Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Colts have already clinched the AFC South and are locked into either the No. 3 or No. 4 seed. They cannot get a first-round bye. Hilton has enjoyed another productive year as the No. 1 receiver for Andrew Luck, racking up 82 catches for 1,345 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games.
Fantasy impact: We’ll know more about Hilton’s Week 17 status when the Colts return to practice Wednesday. He may end up being “active,” but with the Colts not having much to play for in the final week, Hilton would almost certainly be on a snap count. The team could just see if his hamstring will hold up enough for a playoff run. Fantasy owners playing into Week 17 or in daily streaming games shouldn’t count on Hilton being 100 percent and need to have a backup plan ready. Donte Moncrief is an intriguing bargain if the Colts end up pulling their starters.
