Roddy White injury update: Falcons WR confident he’ll be available for fantasy owners Monday
Roddy White is determined to suit up for Week 14. We take a look at the fantasy implications.
It appears as though Roddy White’s ankle injury won’t keep him from suiting up against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night. On Friday, White said he didn’t have “any doubts” about playing in Week 14.
When White was sidelined in Week 13, Harry Douglas played well. Douglas caught nine passes for 109 yards against the Arizona Cardinals. It remains to be seen whether or not White will be heavily involved in the Falcons offense or whether or not he’ll serve as more of a decoy to open things up for wide receiver Julio Jones. One way or another, the Falcons will need White to contribute as they chase the high-octane Packers offense on the scoreboard.
Fantasy impact: White told his fantasy owners not to start him if he didn’t practice. He’s been practicing. Still, he’s a risky WR3 option even against the Packers, who will likely demand a heavy passing attack from the Falcons.
White will be a better option in PPR formats. He caught nearly ten passes in each of the last two games he started. Harry Douglas will be downgraded to a WR4 if White suits up.
