Real Madrid vs. Ludogorets, 2014 UEFA Champions League: Time, TV schedule and game preview

Real Madrid have nothing to play for but pride and keeping a couple impressive winning streaks going.

Real Madrid have nothing to play for on Tuesday as they welcome Ludogorets to the Estadio Bernabéu. Nada. Zilch. Zero.

Carlo Ancelotti’s teams have locked up the top spot in Group B and will be one of the seeded teams in the knockout round draw no matter what happens to them. That said, one expects that Madrid won’t want to go out and lay the proverbial egg, especially when they have a chance to with their 19th straight match in all competitions.

If that streak isn’t impressive enough, they’ll also be looking to extend their home unbeaten streak in UCL matches to 19. That streak dates back to April 2011 with 17 wins and draws.

Ludogorets are eliminated from a chance of earning a place in the Round of 16, but they still could finish third in the group and earn a place in the Europa League. To do it they’ll need to do better on Tuesday than Liverpool, which will be a tall task against the Merengues in Madrid.
