Percy Harvin injury update: Jets WR questionable; fantasy status unclear

Percy Harvin is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Titans. We break down the fantasy implications.

New York Jets wide receiver Percy Harvin is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Harvin has an ankle injury that forced him out of practice on Wednesday, but he was able to get in limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. Head coach Rex Ryan was talking about Harvin’s injury as though it were a multi-week affair earlier in the week, but that tone changed on Friday, when Harvin said that he should be “ready to roll.”

The questionable designation is supposed to denote a 50 percent chance of playing, but it’s hard to gauge whether or not that’s actually the case. It’s possible that Harvin’s injury isn’t as serious as originally thought, in which case, it seems like he’ll be good to go against the Titans. Harvin has six receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14.

Fantasy Impact: Unfortunately, the Jets play the Titans in the afternoon on Sunday, so fantasy owners will have to make a decision on Harvin before the inactive reports come out. Harvin is a must-start in the event that he’s going to play. It does seem more likely that he plays than otherwise at this point.
