NHL schedule 2014: Wild vs. Bruins headlines light schedule

Following a busy Tuesday, only three teams will be in action on Wednesday in the NHL.

Tuesday was about as active as it gets in the NHL with 22 teams in action. It will be the opposite on Wednesday with just three games on the slate, and only one between two teams with winning records. That game will occur in Minnesota where the Wild will host the Boston Bruins.

Although both teams enter the game with 33 points, neither has found much success recently. Minnesota is 5-4-1 in its last 10 games, a solid, but unspectacular stretch. The Wild, however, have been playing great hockey compared to the Bruins, who are just 2-5-3 in their last 10 and are riding a three-game losing streak.

Before the Bruins and Wild take the ice, the night will begin in New Jersey with the Devils hosting the Ottawa Senators. The Devils will be playing to snap a four-game losing streak. New Jersey has played just 11 home games this season, compared to 21 contests on the road.

The night will wrap up in Vancouver with the Canucks hosting the Dallas Stars. Vancouver has fallen on hard times recently, losing four in a row after a strong start to the season. The Stars enter the game with 27 points, tied for last in the Central division.
