NFL picks and predictions, Washington vs. Giants 2014: All in on New York

The experts are siding with the Giants this week.

The New York Giants host Washington this week in a battle of two clubs looking to build momentum heading into the offseason after disastrous seasons thus far.

The 4-9 Giants are coming off a 36-7 win against the Tennessee Titans in Week 14. Until last week, the Giants hadn’t won in more than two months, putting coach Tom Coughlin’s job security into major question. As of now, it’s hard to see the two-time Super Bowl winner being back following another losing season, but if New York can win and look good doing so over the final month, maybe that will be enough to save his job.

As for Washington, it is also trying to lay a stronger foundation for the offseason. Head coach Jay Gruden has gone through three quarterbacks already this season. Kirk Cousins was under center in Week 4 when the Giants blew out Washington 45-14, but he’s now the third-string quarterback. Though Robert Griffin III is a favorite of management, Colt McCoy has started the last two weeks and is expected to start again on Sunday if his neck injury allows.

Whether it’s because the game is at MetLife Stadium or the Washington drama is too hard to ignore, the experts are all in on the Giants this week. It’s a clean sweep at both ESPN and CBS Sports, with everyone picking the Giants to take out Washington.

Likewise at SB Nation, all of our experts are going with the home team:
