Larry Fitzgerald listed as probable and will be a fantasy option Thursday night
Larry Fitzgerald’s knee injury is mostly behind him and he will be ready to play Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is officially listed as probable for Thursday night’s game against the St. Louis Rams. Fitzgerald was able to practice this week and was never in any real danger of missing the game despite being on a short week.
Fitzgerald made his return in Week 14 after missing two games with a sprained MCL. He caught four passes for 34 yards in the Cardinals’ comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Fitzgerald has played in 11 games this season, recording 50 catches for 692 yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy impact: Theoretically, Fitzgerald should help to stabilize the Cardinals, who have lost two of their last three games and are in danger of choking the division away. However, Fitzgerald’s fantasy upside is limited with Drew Stanton under center — he has reached 100 yards just twice this season and hasn’t scored since Week 8. Fitzgerald is a weak WR3 for the fantasy semifinals against an improving Rams defense.
