Kevin Love forced out of Tuesday’s game with back spasms
The Cavs big man was forced out of the lineup on Tuesday.
Already playing without LeBron James due to knee soreness, the Cleveland Cavaliers were also forced to play without Kevin Love on Tuesday after the power forward left the game late in the fourth quarter due to back spasms. Love subbed out of the game and went back to the locker room with the team announcing he would not return.
Love has not missed a game this season. He played 24 minutes before leaving against Atlanta and finished with seven points and seven rebounds on 1-of-8 shooting. Back issues have limited Love in the past, and he missed time due to back spasms last season. He also had similar issues during the 2012 season.
Although most of the ailments appear to be serious, nagging injuries are beginning to pile up for the Cavs. James sat out on Tuesday due to knee soreness, the second game he’s missed in December. Kyrie Irving returned on Tuesday after missing two games due to a bone bruise in his knee. Anderson Varejao is already out for the season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon last week.
