Jonathan Stewart gets full practice and will be another solid fantasy play
Jonathan Stewart has no injury concerns and practiced in full Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart got a full practice on Thursday. Stewart was limited on Wednesday and listed with a hip injury, but he should be fine for Sunday’s Week 15 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With DeAngelo Williams nursing a hand injury, Stewart earned feature back duties for the time being. He responded with his best game of the season, rushing for 155 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in a blowout win over the New Orleans Saints. Stewart has rushed for 563 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games this season while splitting time with Williams.
Fantasy impact: Williams is expected to miss another game, so look for Stewart to get another heavy workload, especially with Derek Anderson under center while Cam Newton recovers from a car accident. Stewart carries solid RB2 value against the Bucs’ middling run defense and will be a must-start in most leagues during the fantasy semifinals.
