Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 16: Mike Evans
The Buccaneers rookie receiver is coming off a two-catch game. Is he worth the start in the fantasy finals?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has had no trouble finding the end zone in his rookie season. Through the last seven games, Evans has caught an impressive nine touchdowns, giving him 11 on the year. While he hasn’t gone over 50 yards receiving in his last four games, Evans has still been able to produce for fantasy owners.
An Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate, Evans has established himself as the team’s top receiver, ahead of Vincent Jackson. While quarterback Josh McCown has struggled for consistency, Evans has remained an integral piece of the offense.
Fantasy Impact: Evans has a fantastic matchup this week in the Green Bay Packers. Their secondary gives up the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Evans is in line to see a healthy number of targets, especially if the Buccaneers find themselves playing from behind, a strong possibility against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Evans remains a legit WR2 with upside for more.
