Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 16: Jordan Cameron

The Browns’ tight end struggled last week. Is he worthy starting consideration in Week 16?

Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron couldn’t get anything going last week with quarterback Johnny Manziel getting his first start. Manziel struggled the the whole game and only targeted Cameron once which he caught for four yards. After a breakout 2013 campaign, Cameron has been a major letdown for fantasy owners this season. He’s only had one game with more than 50 yards receiving so far which came back in Week 6 where he dropped a 3/102/1 line. That touchdown was his only only of the season as well. The former basketball player remains a gifted athlete and will be an excellent candidate for a bounce-back season next year.

Fantasy Impact: Cameron will have a tougher match up this week in Carolina Panthers. Their defense gives up the 12th-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Fantasy owners that have made it this far without Cameron have no reason to turn to him now. Even if Manziel has a much better game, there’s no guarantee that Cameron will see more targets. He’s a risky TE2.
