Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 15: Donte Moncrief

The Colts’ rookie has been a hit or miss fantasy play. Is he worth the start in Week 15?

Indianapolis Colts‘ wide receiver Donte Moncrief may have had a let down game for fantasy owners that were trying to chase his 3/134/2 line from Week 13. He finished last week with only three catches for 33 yards. What’s holding the talented rookie back is simply playing time. He played in only 50 snaps last week and saw only four targets for the third straight week. While he’s overtaken the washed up Hakeem Nicks, Moncrief will continue to depend on making a couple big plays to be productive at his current usage rate.

Fantasy Impact: Things won’t get much easier for Moncrief when the Colts take on the Houston Texans. Their defense gives up the second-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Despite such an enticing match up, Moncrief remains an extremely risky option. Fantasy owners who don’t have the fire power to overcome a potential dud should leave him on the bench. He’s a high risk/high reward WR3 play.
