Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 14: Keenan Allen

The Chargers receiver has come to life in recent weeks. Can he keep it going in Week 14?

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen appears to have rediscovered the form from his rookie year that has been missing for much of this season. Through Allen’s first 10 games, he caught one touchdown and had only two games in which he went over 70 yards receiving. Over the last two weeks, he’s hauled in 17 passes, gone over 100 yards receiving in both games and found the end zone three times. Whatever Allen did to turn it around is clearly getting results. He will continue to see a healthy amount of targets from quarterback Philip Rivers and remains worthy of starting consideration.

Fantasy Impact: San Diego’s Week 14 matchup is the sole reason why Allen isn’t an automatic start this week. The Chargers will take on the New England Patriots, whose defense allows the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. As the Bolts’ top wideout, Allen is likely to see plenty of still-elite cornerback Darrelle Revis. Allen remains on the WR2 map but there’s some bust potential with his trip to Revis Island.
