Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 17: Doug Baldwin breaks 100-yard mark

Baldwin was one of two receivers who posted 100-yard games for Seattle in Week 16. We break down the fantasy implications.

Doug Baldwin caught seven passes for 113 yards on Sunday night against the Arizona Cardinals. He led the Seattle Seahawks with 11 targets, the highest amount he’s seen in a single game all season.

This was the second game of the year Baldwin has eclipsed the 100-yard mark. He’s now up to 63 receptions for 2014.

Fantasy impact: Like the entire Seahawks passing game, Baldwin is not the most consistent for fantasy production on a weekly basis. Seattle can rely on Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson running the ball, forcing the passing game to take a backseat. Baldwin has seen 24 targets over his past three games, though.

He’s clearly the favorite target for Wilson and he’ll continue to lead the team in targets. Baldwin is worth considering as your WR3/4 in PPR leagues for Week 17 as he takes on the St. Louis Rams. Baldwin posted his best stat line of the season (seven catches, 123 yards, one touchdown) against the Rams back in Week 7.
