Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 16: Reggie Bush offers little value
Bush returned two weeks ago after missing several games with an ankle injury, but he hasn’t made much of an impact for Detroit. We break down the fantasy implications.
Reggie Bush rushed for 7 yards on three carries and caught one pass for 10 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15. Joique Bell dominated the backfield workload, finishing with 19 touches for 103 yards on Sunday.
Bush returned to action in Week 14 after missing several games with an ankle injury. He has just 51 total yards over the past two games.
Fantasy impact: So much for his season. Bush’s best rushing performance of the year was 61 yards in Week 3. He hasn’t topped 50 yards receiving. It’s obvious the ankle injury put a huge damper on 2014, and even though he’s back playing regularly, he doesn’t quite look like himself.
Bell is going to continue dominating the touches out of the backfield. Bush can’t be trust as even a flex play with his current usage and production. If you’re heading into the championship in your league, there are much better options at running back.
