Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 16: Colin Kaepernick is droppable
The 49ers managed to score seven points in Week 15. We break down the fantasy implications.
Colin Kaepernick completed 11 of 19 passes for 141 yards and gained another 46 yards rushing on nine carries in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks. For the second time in three weeks, Kaepernick failed to score a touchdown (both of those games came against Seattle).
Kaepernick hasn’t thrown for over 200 yards in his last three games. He hasn’t scored multiple touchdowns in a single game since Week 6 against the St. Louis Rams.
Fantasy impact: The Seahawks have Kaepernick’s number. He’s faced them twice in his past three starts, combining to throw zero touchdowns and two interceptions in those games. The only positive from Sunday’s performance was the fact that Kaepernick rushed for his highest total since Week 4.
Considering Kaepernick has just three games in 2014 with two-plus passing touchdowns, he should not be considered for your starting lineup for Week 16. Owners can find a better streaming option for most leagues.
