Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 15: Trent Richardson reminds fantasy owners of poor fantasy value

Trent Richardson couldn’t get anything done against his former team. We take a look at his fantasy value moving forward.

If Trent Richardson was hoping to send a message to his former team, the Cleveland Browns were reminded that they aren’t missing out on much. Richardson saw seven carries for 30 yards on Sunday. He wasn’t targeted at all in the passing game. Fellow running back Daniel Herron didn’t fair much better on the ground, totaling just 26 yards on eight carries. However, Herron added four receptions for 45 yards to his day.

Richardson simply isn’t getting it done. The Colts seem determined to give him more opportunity than he deserves. It’s looking like Herron will continue to produce better than Richardson down the stretch.

Fantasy impact: At this point, Richardson owners are just hoping for a touchdown on any given week — something he hasn’t accomplished since Week 12. There are backup running backs with better odds of finding the end zone at this point.

Richardson could be considered an RB3 at this point. Fantasy owners shouldn’t hesitate to drop him for a more appealing player. As we move forward with fantasy playoffs, Richardson is too much of a liability for owners to consider.
