Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 15: Doug Baldwin scores big against Eagles

The Seahawks’ leading receiver had one of his best games of the year on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Doug Baldwin finished Week 14 with five receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was his second-highest receiving total of 2014 and his third game with a score.

Russell Wilson completed 22 passes on Sunday. He only attempted 22 throws in Week 13. When the Seattle Seahawks make an effort to throw the ball more, Baldwin is typically the top beneficiary.

Fantasy impact: Baldwin’s ownership is still relatively low due to his inconsistent numbers. He caught just two passes in each of his last two games prior to Week 14. Baldwin now has four games with 50-plus receiving yards this season. That makes him tough to justify starting regularly.

The Seahawks face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15, currently the fourth-ranked pass defense in the NFL. Baldwin caught two passes for 28 yards against the 49ers in Week 13. It’s best to avoid him.
