Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 17: Matt Asiata

Matt Asiata is the last man standing in the Minnesota backfield. Should fantasy owners use him this week?

Minnesota Vikings running back Matt Asiata is going to be featured against the Chicago Bears in Week 17. The Vikings cut running back Ben Tate, and Jerick McKinnon is out for the season due to injury.

Asiata has been hot in his last two, posting 22.0 PPR fantasy points per game including three total TDs. Plus, those were actually not favorable matchups against the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions.

This week, he gets a great matchup against Chicago. The Bears have given up seven touchdowns to backs in their last four weeks, so Asiata seems like a near lock for hitting pay dirt at least once on Sunday. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is also a fan of checking down to Asiata, so fantasy owners in PPR leagues should be licking their chops.

Fantasy impact: He’s an absolute must-start play in PPR and a strong RB10-15 in standard fantasy leagues.
