Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 17: Dan Herron

Dan Herron should be busy Sunday. Should fantasy owners use him even if the Colts rest their guys?

Indianapolis Colts running back Daniel Herron hasn’t quite been able to get it going since taking over as the go-to backfield player. In Week 16, he only had three rushing yards against the Dallas Cowboys. Herron has only scored once all season, but the good news is running back Trent Richardson has been a disaster.

That should mean that Herron gets most of the carries against the Tennessee Titans. In case you missed it last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ ground game gashed them for 127 yards and two scores. Yes, the Jaguars. Of course, that’s no surprise because Tennessee has been the third-easiest matchup for fantasy running backs all season.

This week, the Colts have very little to play for and they might try to get their ground game going as they look to make a playoff run. Herron should be able to turn his 12-15 touches to close to 80 yards and a score.

Fantasy impact: He’s a low-end RB2 this week.
