Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Robert Griffin III is an option

Robert Griffin III is ready to roll. Should fantasy owners use him with high stakes?

Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III is back in the saddle this week. He lost his job due to injuries and poor play, but he will start against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday.

Coach Jay Gruden has made multiple in-game quarterback changes on the season, but that is unlikely to happen. Colt McCoy is on injured reserve and it’s pretty clear Kirk Cousins is not the answer. Griffin just needs to avoid an injury to keep his playing time.

He is coming off a decent game last week against the New York Giants, passing for 236 yards and one score. Griffin was credited with a lost fumble, but that was a blown call for what should have been a touchdown, so Griffin had himself a nice game.

He’ll get a fantastic matchup at home this week. The Eagles are the third-easiest matchup for fantasy quarterbacks, and they have struggled in their last two games.

Fantasy impact: RG3 is actually a low-end play at a QB13-15. If you have a banged-up Philip Rivers, give him a look.
