Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Pierre Garcon could get it going

Pierre Garcon has his buddy back at quarterback. Should fantasy owners give him a go?

Washington receiver Pierre Garcon is not the same player this season. One year after leading the NFL in targets, he’s somehow been just the No. 44 receiver in PPR leagues. Obviously, this is not what his owners signed up for, especially since he did not miss any games this season.

Things looked like they were going well in the start of the season with two games of at least 10 receptions in his first three. Since then, he’s only had one game with more than five catches, which explains the massive dip in production.

This week, he gets quarterback Robert Griffin III back under center and a great matchup. The Philadelphia Eagles are the third-easiest matchup for fantasy receivers and have been particularly bad lately — allowing a three-touchdown game to Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant last week. Washington is also at home, so this is one of the more promising games for Garcon.

Fantasy impact: There are still too many question marks because of his disastrous season. Garcon does have upside in PPR, but he’s only a WR3 at best.
