Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Mark Sanchez is a tough play

Mark Sanchez has been up and down these days. Should fantasy owners trust him?

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez is up to his old tricks. He looked like he was going to get it going with his new team, but he’s really cooled off in his last two weeks. He’s turned the ball over three times in his last two weeks, averaging 173 passing yards per game in the two losses. Plus, those games were at home.

This week, he heads to Washington. Quarterback Nick Foles (collarbone) had tremendous success against them back in Week 3, passing for 325 yards, three scores and no picks in the win. Plus, Washington is actually the easiest matchup to fantasy quarterbacks on the season. They have allowed a whopping 10 pass TDs to quarterbacks in the last three weeks. Washington does a decent job of stopping the run, but their secondary has not been the same since losing DeAngelo Hall and safety Duke Ihenacho.

Fantasy impact: The matchup is almost perfect, but it’s Mark Sanchez. He should be viewed as a risk-reward QB8-12.
