Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Blake Bortles

Blake Bortles is banged up. Would even the wildest fantasy owner start him this week?

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles hasn’t exactly lit it up in his rookie season. He second in the NFL in interceptions and sacks allowed despite missing the first two games of the season. Not good. He is also questionable to play due to a foot injury. Although, Bortles is fully expected to play.

The rookie QB gets one of his best matchups of the season. He’ll take on the Tennessee Titans on Thursday at home on a short week. He faced them in Tennessee back in Week 6, passing for a career-high 336 passing yards with one score and one interception. It was also his second-highest passer rating.

While the Titans have been gashed on the ground and on the outside, they’ve done a decent job of putting pressure on quarterbacks, but that did come against the New York Jets and New York Giants in the past two weeks. As for Bortles, he has not taken any steps forward and is coming off a horrible game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy impact: No thanks.
