Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 15: Anquan Boldin

Anquan Boldin and the 49ers haven’t been able to get their passing game going. Will that change for his fantasy owners this week?

The San Francisco 49ers get a nightmare matchup against the Seattle Seahawks this week. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been owned by the Hawks throughout his career and that’s unlikely to change. According to Pro Football Focus, Kaepernick has a grade of minus-13.3 against Seattle while he’s posted a a plus-29.7 against the other 30 teams. Sure, that stat might not mean much to the untrained eye, but you get the picture.

Receiver Anquan Boldin had just 18 yards against the Seahawks two weeks ago and that game was in San Francisco, too. Boldin was also held in check last week against the Oakland Raiders with just 54 yards and four catches on nine targets. Kaepernick can’t get out of his own way and this game spells disaster for the 49ers, who have essentially been knocked out of the playoffs.

Fantasy impact: There is really no way his fantasy owners can trust him. Bench him in just about any format.
