Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: Vincent Jackson

The Buccaneers veteran receiver has been hit or miss. Is he worth the start in Week 14?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson provided owners with yet another letdown performance last week. After showing signs of life in Week 12 by dropping a 5-117 line, Jackson finished last week with only two receptions for 24 yards. This performance marked the sixth time that Jackson has finished with less than 50 yards receiving. While two of those games did provide owners with one touchdown, they both came prior to Week 5 which puts Jackson at eight consecutive scoreless weeks. Talented rookie Mike Evans has pretty much taken over as the team’s No. 1 receiver which leaves Jackson in a iffy fantasy situation.

Fantasy Impact: Things get even tougher this week for Jackson when the Buccaneers take on the Detroit Lions. Their defense allows only the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. With the lack of touchdowns and decreased targets, Jackson can’t be trusted as anything more than a low-end WR3.
