Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: Jordan Matthews
Jordan Matthews is another hot rookie receiver. Should his fantasy owners trust him again this week?
Philadelphia Eagles receiver Jordan Matthews was a big story on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys, catching four passes for 51 yards and one score. He’s been hot over his last four games, averaging 5.5 passes for 92.8 yards and 1.0 scores over that span. The Eagles have really cooled off regarding their two-tight end package and that’s a big reason why Matthews is shining. On the other hand, he gets a bad matchup this week against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks are the worst matchup in the league for fantasy receivers. They were starting off slow as they adjusted to the new rules in the secondary, but they are really in a groove. Their secondary has allowed just one touchdown to receivers since Week 6 while allowing a microscopic 55.0 yards per game over their last three games.
Fantasy impact: The Eagles are at home, but the Seahawks have shut down receivers lately no matter where the game is. Matthews is not even a WR3 this week.
