Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: Dan Herron

The Colts running back has been effective in his new role. Can he keep it up in Week 14?

Indianapolis Colts running back Dan Herron has shown well in the last couple weeks, finishing with 88 yards on eight carries and a touchdown last week. He also ran for 65 yards on 12 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars the week before, chipping in another 31 yards on five catches. The major blemish on his short resume is that he lost a fumble in both of those games. The good news for fantasy owners is that the Colts don’t have much depth after Herron and Trent Richardson, so owners can expect him to maintain his workload.

Fantasy Impact: Herron won’t have to deal with a daunting match up in the Cleveland Browns this week. Their middle of the pack defense gives up the 17th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Herron and Richardson project to split the workload which leaves both in the 8-12-carry range. Herron is the only one worthy of fantasy consideration and owners can fire him up as a RB2 with solid upside.
