Fantasy football sit/start advice, Week 16: Delanie Walker

Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker has a knee injury but should be good to go for Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker is dealing with a knee injury that had him limited in practice this past week, but the team was likely just limiting his reps because of the short week. The Titans play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football in Week 16 and Walker is expected to be ready to go for that game.

Walker leads the Titans with 52 receptions for 793 yards and he’s second on the team in touchdown receptions with four. He’s been a solid pickup and has played well despite the fact that the Titans are 2-12 on the season with a No. 22 ranking when it comes to passing yardage (221 passing yards per game). Fortunately, the Jaguars have been equally bad this year, so Walker could be in for a big game.

Fantasy Impact: It feels like the tight end position has been weak as a whole this year, but Walker has been a consistently good starter. He may not be a slam dunk in any week, but for Thursday’s game, he should be started by those still playing meaningful fantasy football. His injury isn’t a concern at this point.
