Emmanuel Sanders injury update: Broncos’ WR remains strong fantasy option despite hip injury

The Broncos’ shifty receiver is once again expected to suit up Sunday despite a hip injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders continues to battle a hip injury, and is listed as questionable for his team’s regular season finale versus the Oakland Raiders.

Sanders dealt with this injury in Week 16, but responded by torching the Bengals‘ secondary for chunks of yardage and finished the evening with 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He is in no danger of missing action in Week 17 and is expected to suit up despite his questionable designation.

Fantasy Spin: The Broncos will have no choice but to play their starters this week, as a loss to Oakland and a win for Cincinnati would knock them out of the No. 2 seed and take away their first-round bye.

As a result, fantasy owners can fire-up Sanders as a low-end WR1 with upside, despite being at less than 100 percent. It will be business as usual for the Broncos’ offense for Week 17, and versus a vulnerable Raiders’ defense, the odds are ripe for Sanders to harvest some fantasy wealth for his owners one last time in 2014.
