Eddie Lacy injury update: RB listed as probable for Packers, fantasy owners, despite eye injury

The Packers’ feature back has an eye injury, but isn’t in danger of missing Sunday’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is expected to play this Sunday versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Lacy has been dealing with an eye injury caused by irritation from his contact lens, leaving the star running back to describe himself as “very blind” Thursday. Despite that, Lacy practiced at a limited capacity throughout the week and is listed as probable on the injury report. Lacy isn’t expected to wear goggles on Sunday despite his ailment, an indication that he will conduct his business as usual.

Fantasy Spin: This is a situation for fantasy owners to monitor, but doesn’t appear to be threatening to his availability. Owners should be more concerned about the Buccaneers’ run defense finding its stride since the Week 7 bye, and being able to boast a 3.9 yards per carry average to opponents on the season. Despite this, Lacy can resume his post as a staple in fantasy lineups across the board and is a top-five option.
