Dexter McCluster likely to miss the rest of the season; fantasy owners can drop him
The Titans running back had an underwhelming season, and it looks like it’s over. We break down the fantasy implications.
Tennessee Titans running back Dexter McCluster (knee) will not play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16 and will likely miss the rest of the season, according to the Tennesseean’s Jim Wyatt. McCluster will finish the season with just 131 yards rushing on 40 attempts.
Fantasy Impact: With McCluster out, teammate Leon Washington should get some more touches as the team’s change-of-pace back for the last two weeks of the season.
Either way, neither player is going to make much of an impact as the fantasy playoffs get down to the nitty-gritty. The Titans as a whole have been one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2014, a season coach Ken Wisenhunt would probably like to forget.
The 2014 storylines aside, rookie Bishop Sankey is the only running back on the team worth consideration on a fantasy roster, and that isn’t saying much anyway. Fantasy owners can afford to move on without a Titans running back with the exception of the deepest of leagues.
