Demaryius Thomas expected to be fine for Week 14, fantasy owers shouldn’t worry
Demaryius Thomas got his ankle stepped on in practice, but he should be fine for Week 14. We break down the fantasy implications.
Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was held out of practice Thursday after getting his ankle stepped on in Wednesday’s practice. Despite the midweek downgrade, head coach John Fox says that he just has a bruised ankle and will be fine for Sunday’s Week 14 game against the Buffalo Bills.
Thomas hasn’t missed a game since the 2011 season and that likely won’t change this week. He’s having another fantastic year with 88 catches for 1,255 yards and 10 touchdowns in just 12 games. In the unlikely event Thomas sits out Sunday, Emmanuel Sanders will take over as the No. 1 receiver.
Fantasy impact: Thomas will probably get the questionable tag on Friday’s injury report, but fantasy owners shouldn’t have too much reason to worry. At worst, he might be on a snap count, but Thomas is one of those elite talents you don’t bench under any circumstances. If he’s active, you’re starting him regardless of the competition. Continue riding Thomas as arguably the No. 1 wide receiver throughout the fantasy playoffs.
