Champions League standings 2014: Who’s in and who’s out of the knockout stages

After four rounds of play in the group stage, the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 field is starting to take shape.

By now, we’re far enough into the Champions League group stages for the fates of many of Europe’s top teams to have been decided.

We’ve already had three group winners crowned, with Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Porto having all finished top. They will be joined in the knockout stages by Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona Atlético Madrid, Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen but none of those sides have yet guaranteed top spot. Shakhtar have progressed as runners-up in their group.

Clinched advancement: Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal

Europa League: Anderlecht

Eliminated: Galatasaray

Group E

Clinched advancement: Bayern Munich

Still alive: AS Roma, CSKA Moscow, Manchester City

Clinched advancement: Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona

Eliminated: Ajax, APOEL

Clinched advancement: Chelsea
