Brandon Marshall questionable to return vs. Cowboys with rib injury
It’s another disappointing setback for the oft-injured star wideout.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall has a rib injury and is questionable to return Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Marshall was injured in the second quarter when he was kneed in the back by safety Barry Church after catching a fourth-and-7 pass from quarterback Jay Cutler.
After the play, Marshall walked off under his own power, but he was taken to the locker room for evaluation.
Before exiting, Marshall amassed three receptions for 61 yards to lead the team in receiving yards. He made this amazing one-handed grab for 42 yards earlier on the drive and appeared on his way to having a nice game. Martellus Bennett finished the drive with a touchdown reception from Cutler to move the game into a 7-7 tie late in the second quarter.
Any sustained loss to Marshall, though, will hamper the Bears’ chances of keeping pace with the high-powered offense of the Cowboys.
