Bears bench Jay Cutler, will start Jimmy Clausen
Marc Trestman has benched the highest-paid offensive player in football.
Just hours after dismissing the idea of benching quarterback Jay Cutler during his Wednesday press conference, Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman has indeed made switch according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
During the broadcast of the Chicago Bears’ 31-15 loss, color man Jon Gruden suggested that Trestman bench the struggling Jay Cutler for Jimmy Clausen. Cutler leads the league with 24 turnovers and was the subject of offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer’s scorn earlier this season.
