A.J. Green misses practice, but expected to play for fantasy owners

As expected, A.J. Green did not practice Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green was held out of practice Wednesday. Green is dealing with a bruised biceps and likely won’t practice much this week, although the team hopes he can play in the regular season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Green suffered the injury in Monday night’s win over the Denver Broncos. He was forced out early in the first quarter, but later returned to the game. Green finished the night with zero catches, getting targeted four times. He played on just 25 of 63 offensive snaps. Green missed time earlier this year with an unrelated toe injury.

Fantasy impact: The Bengals want their star receiver back for a game that will decide the AFC North, so expect Green to suit up even if he misses more practice. How effective he’ll be is an entirely different question, but Green is one of those stud players you can’t risk benching. If he’s active, you’re starting him.
