A.J. Green injury update: Bengals WR probable; high fantasy value against Steelers
Green is probable and should play against the Steelers in Week 14. We break down the fantasy implications.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green is officially listed as probable for Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Green is dealing with a thigh injury that had him limited in practice this past week, but there’s not much concern about his status for Sunday’s game. The probable designation is supposed to denote a 75-percent chance of playing, but most believe Green is essentially guaranteed to play on Sunday.
Green has been excellent in recent weeks. He caught six passes for 127 yards against the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 16, 12 passes for 121 yards against the Houston Texans on Nov. 23 and he added another 57 yards and a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13. Now he has a promising matchup against Ike Taylor of the Steelers, one he should be able to dominate.
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners shouldn’t worry about Green at this point. He has 45 receptions for 686 yards and five touchdowns on the season, and while his thigh injury was a minor concern earlier in the week, there’s no doubts about his status at this point. He’ll play on Sunday and he’s a must-start.
