UCLA Bruins vs. Tulsa Golden Hurricanes

The UCLA Bruins and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane face off on Friday as they close out the first round action in the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins are -9 point favorites over the Golden Hurricanes with an over/under point total set at 151.5
The UCLA Bruins had their share of ups and downs this season but they finished on a high note winning the Pac-12 Tournament. UCLA is 5-1 in neutral site games and 12-2 in non-conference games. Jordan Adams is averaging 17.2 points and 5.3 rebounds to lead the Bruins. Kyle Anderson is averaging 14.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 6.6 assists, Norman Powell is averaging 11.3 points, and Zach LaVine is averaging 10 points. UCLA is averaging 81.8 points and they are shooting 49 percent while defensively they are allowing 70.8 points and their opponents are shooting 42.9 percent. UCLA appears to be peaking just at the right time.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane won the regular season Conference USA Title and backed it up by winning the CUSA Tournament. Tulsa is 5-9 in out of conference games and 4-2 in neutral site games. James Woodard is averaging 15.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game to lead the Golden Hurricane. Rashad Smith is averaging 12.1 points, Shaquille Harrison is averaging 9.8 points, and Rashad Ray is averaging 6.8 points. Tulsa is averaging 73.1 points and they are shooting 44.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.4 points and their opponents are shooting 40.3 percent. Tulsa has won 11 games in a row but they are 1-3 against the RPI top 50.
Both of these teams score points in bunches and there is no reason to think it won’t happen here but at 151.5 the total looks to be too aggressive on the high side.

Under 151.5
