Michigan St. Spartans vs. Michigan Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartans face off on Sunday in the Finals of the Big Ten Tournament. The Spartans are -2.5 point favorites over the Wolverines with an over/under point total set at 138.
The Michigan Wolverines are being talked about as a possible number one seed in the NCAA Tournament after their win on Saturday over Ohio State. Michigan has defeated Michigan State twice this year, are 17-3 in the Big Ten, and 5-1 in neutral site games. Nik Stauskas leads the Wolverines with a 17.5 points per game average. Caris LeVert is averaging 13.5 points, Glen Robinson III is averaging 13.2 points, and Derrick Walton Jr. is averaging 8.0 points. Michigan is averaging 75 points and they are shooting 48.1 percent while defensively they are allowing 65.3 points and their opponents are shooting 44.3 percent. Michigan has won seven games in a row.
The Michigan State Spartans have been battling injuries all season long but they are as healthy as they have been and appear to e putting it together at the right tie. MSU pounded Northwestern in their tourney opener and then had no problem with Wisconsin on Saturday. Adreian Payne is the leader of the Spartans averaging 15.7 points and 7.3 rebounds. Gary Harris is averaging 17.2 points, Keith Appling is averaging 12.5 points, and Branden Dawson is averaging 10.2 points and 8.3 rebounds. Michigan State is averaging 76.2 points and they are shooting 47.4 percent while defensively they are allowing 65.6 points and their opponents are shooting 40.3 percent. Michigan State seems to get hot every March and this year is no different.
Michigan is 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five neutral site games, 3-7 against the spread following a win, and 4-1 against the spread against a team with a winning percentage over .600. Michigan State is 4-0 against the spread against the Big Ten, 3-1-2 against the spread in their last six neutral site games, and 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games following a game that they covered the point spread.
My pick in this one is going to be on the total and I like the over at 138.
