Princeton Tigers vs. Dartmouth Big Green
The Dartmouth Big Green hope a road trip to face the Princeton Tigers will help them snap their four-game losing streak. The Tigers are -13 point favorites over the Big Green. These teams played earlier in the month and Dartmouth won 78-69, thanks to 52.1 percent shooting.
Since that victory, the Big Green haven’t been able to win a single game. In their last five contests, they’re shooting just 39.3 percent from the field and averaging 64 points, while the defense is allowing 70 points on 44.2 percent shooting. Those shooting numbers make things even worse when they’re already a below-average rebounding team that averages 33.9 boards. They average 61.7 points and allow 65.4 points on the road. They’re also 4-9 ATS overall and 1-6 ATS on the road.
The Tigers have won two of their last three since playing the Big Green, but are coming off a 66-65 overtime loss to Yale. Their defense continues to be their bread and butter, as they haven’t allowed more than 66 points in their last four games. Much like Dartmouth, they’re also a poor rebounding team, averaging just 27.8 rebounds in their last five games. At home they average 70 points and allow just 60 points. They are 8-7 ATS overall and 1-3 ATS on their home court.
The Big Green are just 2-7 SU on the road, while the Tigers are 7-1 SU at home. Dartmouth’s offensive struggles are even worse away from home, while the Tigers improve their play at both ends in front of their home fans. This will also be a revenge game for the Tigers considering they lost a heartbreaker earlier in the month.
Before the loss, Princeton has won the last eight meetings against Dartmouth. The Tigers are also 24-11 ATS in their last 35 games following a SU loss and are 22-7 ATS in their last games played on Friday.
I’ll take the Tigers at home and the chalk.
