The Georgia Bulldogs and the Missouri Tigers face off on Tuesday at Stegman Coliseum in SEC college basketball. The Bulldogs are -1.5 point favorites over the Tigers with an over/under point total set at 141.
The Georgia Bulldogs have won five of their last six games and they are all alone in third place in the SEC. Georgia is 9-5 in the SEC and 12-2 at home this season. Charles Mann leads the Bulldogs averaging 13.2 points per game. Kenny Gaines is averaging 12.7 points, Nemanja Djurisic is averaging 9.2 points, and Brandon Morris is averaging 9.2 points. Georgia will need a strong finish along with a solid showing in the SEC Tournament to get any kind of NCAA Tournament consideration.
The Missouri Tigers are coming off of a tough loss at Alabama that ended their three game winning streak. Mizzou is 7-7 in the SEC and 6-6 away from home as they cling to their hopes of being part of March Madness. Jabari Brown leads the Tigers averaging 20.2 points per game. Georgia is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven home games, 20-8 against the spread against the SEC, and 5-2 against the spread in their last seven home games against a team with a losing road record. Missouri is 5-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 1-4 against the spread in their last five games, and 5-12-1 against the spread in their last 18 road games against a team with a winning home record.
I think Georgia gets the win and covers at home.
