Tennessee Titans vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Tennessee Titans and the Arizona Cardinals face off on Sunday in Nashville in NFL week 15 action. The Cardinals are -3 point favorites over the Titans with an over/under point total set at 41.5.
The Tennessee Titans are 5-8 for the season and while they aren’t officially eliminated from the post season they are hanging on by a thread. The Titans have lost four of their last five games and this is their first home game after playing their last three on the road. Ryan Fitzpatrick has taken over for the injured Jake Locker and he has completed 60.7 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns and eight interceptions. Chris Johnson has rushed for 820 yards and five touchdowns and he has 35 receptions. Kendall Wright has 73 receptions to lead the Titans, Delanie Walker has 45 catches, and Nate Washington has 43 receptions. Bernard Pollard is Tennessee’s leading tackler with 81 tackles, Zach Brown has 77 tackles and 4 sacks, and Michael Griffin has 69 tackles. Tennessee is averaging 22.5 points and 328.7 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 24.5 points and 343.8 yards per game. The Titans could be looking at a fairly high pick in the NFL Draft.
The Arizona Cardinals are on the outside looking in at the playoff picture in the NFC but they are far from out of it. After this game the Cardinals have games against the Seahawks and the 49ers and while those are difficult they are the teams they need to beat and are battling with for the playoff spots. Carson Palmer has completed 64.3 percent of his passes for 3,458 yards with 20 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. Rashard Mendenhall has rushed for 508 yards and six touchdowns and Andre Ellington has rushed for 487 yards and three touchdowns. Larry Fitzgerald leads the Cardinals in receiving with 67 receptions and 10 touchdowns and Michael Floyd has 56 receptions. The Cardinals are averaging 23.5 points and 337.9 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 19.8 points and 311.7 yards per game. The Cardinals play in the toughest division in football and that may end up being what ultimately work against them in the end.
Tennessee is 6-2 against the spread following a loss, 10-26-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 0-4 against the spread in their last four home games. Arizona is 4-0 against the spread in their last four games, 7-1 against the spread against a team with a losing record, and 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games.
The Cardinals are playing well and just getting better and while the Titans are home here this is simply a bad spot against a hot team in a meaningful game for them.
