Alabama Crimson Tide vs. LSU Tigers

The Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers face off on Saturday in Tuscaloosa in a SEC college matchup with huge national Title implications. The Crimson Tide are -9 point favorites over the Tigers.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are the number one ranked team in the nation and control their own destiny this season but as good as they have been the Tide know as well as anyone that a loss and they are on the outside looking in. the Alabama offense is averaging 41.2 points and 462.8 yards per game and they have turned the ball over seven times. Bama QB A.J. McCarron has completed 69.4 percent of his passes for 1,862 yards with 16 touchdowns and three interceptions. T.J. Yeldon has rushed for 729 yards with 10 touchdowns and he has 14 receptions out of the backfield and Kenyan Drake has rushed for 491 yards and seven touchdowns. Christion Jones has 27 catches for 281 yards and two touchdowns, Kevin Norwood has 23 catches for 348 yards and three touchdowns, and Amari Cooper has 20 catches and two touchdowns. Defensively Alabama has been a rock allowing 9.8 points and 280.9 yards per game with eight interceptions, four fumble recoveries, and 11 sacks. C.J. Mosely has 59 tackles, Landon Collins has 34 tackles, and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has 31 tackles. Alabama is a handful and I wouldn’t expect to catch them looking ahead to the National Title game.
The LSU Tigers have two losses but they want nothing more than to get the win in this one and ruin Alabama’s season. The LSU Offense has been improved averaging 40.2 points and 480 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 14 times. LSU QB Zach Mettenberger has completed 65.4 percent of his passes for 2,492 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions. LSU is stacked and deep in the backfield with Jeremy Hill rushing for 922 yards and 12 touchdowns, Terrance Magee averaging 7.5 yards per carry with five touchdowns, and Kenny Hilliard has six touchdowns. Jarvis landry has 58 catches for 882 yards and eight touchdowns and Odell Beckham has 48 catches and eight touchdowns. The LSU defense allows 21.9 points and 351.7 yards with six interceptions, six fumble recoveries, and 20 sacks. Lamin Barrow has 64 tackles, Kwon Alexander has 52 tackles, and D.J. Welter has 50 tackles. LSU has plenty of athletes but they are going to need to put together their best game of the season to have any chance in this spot.
Alabama is 4-0 against the spread in their last four SEC games, 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, and 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games following a bye week. LSU is 4-0 against the spread following a bye week, 6-2-1 against the spread in their last nine road games against a team wit a winning home record, and 2-6-1 against the spread following a win. He road team is 13-4-1 against the spread in the last 18 meetings of these two.
I like the Tigers to keep this close and will be taking the nine points with them.
