Utah Utes vs. UCLA Bruins

The Utah Utes and the UCLA Bruins face off on Thursday Night in a mid week Pac-12 face off. The Bruins are -3 point favorites over the Utes.
The Utah Utes bounced back from their first loss of the season by knocking off BYU in the Holy War but after a week off they face a stiff test in this one. Utah’s offense doesn’t always make it look pretty but the numbers are there as they are averaging 504.8 yards and 42 points per game. QB Travis Wilson is completing 64.3 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing for 251 yards and five touchdowns and being sacked just four times. Bubba Poole is averaging 5.2 yards per carry with a touchdown and he also has 15 catches and Lucky Radley has two rushing touchdowns and a touchdown catch. Dres Anderson has 18 catches and three touchdowns to lead Utah while Sean Fitzgerald as 14 catches and two touchdowns and Anthony Denham has 10 catches and a touchdown. Defensively the Utes are allowing 24.2 points and 406.5 yards per game with one interception, three fumble recoveries, and 15 sacks. Trevor Reilly has 26 tackles and 1.5 sacks while Michael Walker and Jared Norris each have 25 tackles each. This should be Utah’s toughest test of the season thus far.
The UCLA Bruins are coming off of a bye week as well but they appear to be a program that has things moving in the right direction and who could be a contender if they get some bounces. The UCLA offense is averaging 52.7 points per game and 614.3 yards as they seem to be clicking as a unit. QB Brett Hundley is completing 6.3 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing for 157 yards and two touchdowns and being sacked five times. James Jordan is averaging 6.8 yards per carry with four touchdowns, Paul Perkins has two rushing touchdowns, and Malcolm Jones has three rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown. Shaquell Evans leads the Bruins with 13 catches and three touchdowns, Devin Fuller has 12 catches and a touchdown, and Jordan Payton has six catches. Defensively UCLA is allowing just 18 points and 339 yards per game with an interception, two fumble recoveries, and six sacks. Eric Kendricks has 26 tackles, Jordan Zumwait has 21 tackles, and Anthony Barr has 18 tackles. UCLA has some tough sledding ahead including this one but they are on the verge of cracking the Top Ten.
Utah is 6-2 against the spread in their last eight home games, 9-3 against the spread following a bye week, and 0-4 against the spread in their last four Pac-12 games. UCLA is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games, 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, and 2-7 against the spread following a bye week.
Ill take the Utes getting the points in this game as I can see them winning this one outright.

Pick
Utah Utes +3 UCLA Bruins
