Tennessee Volunteers vs. Georgia Bulldogs

The Tennessee Volunteers and the Georgia Bulldogs face off on Saturday in Knoxville as they face off in a SEC college football battle. The Bulldogs are -10.5 point favorites over the Volunteers.
The Tennessee Volunteers ended their two game losing streak on Saturday as they held on for a win against upset mined South Alabama. The Vols are now 3-2 and while they are an improved team over a year ago they will still be looking for their first SEC win of the year in this one. The Tennessee offense is averaging 31.8 points and 369.4 yards per game. QB Justin Worley has completed 56 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and six interceptions while Nathan Peterman has completed 43.5 percent of his passes with out a touchdown and with two interceptions. Rajeon Neal leads the UT ground attack averaging 5.8 yards per carry with five touchdowns and Marlin Lane is averaging 6.2 yards with four touchdowns. Marquez North is Tennessee’s leading receiver with 14 catches, Alton Howard has 11 catches and two touchdowns, and Josh Smith has nine catches and a touchdown. The Volunteers defense is allowing 26.8 points and 413 yards with 11 interceptions, four fumble recoveries, and seven sacks. Brian Randolph has 37 tackles and three interceptions, A.J. Johnson has 35 tackles, and Dontavis Sapp has 26 tackles. Beating Georgia would be a landmark win for the Tennessee program.
No team has played a tougher schedule than the Georgia Bulldogs this season and after an opening loss at Clemson they have reeled off three straight wins but all of those have been at home. Gergia has played three teams who were ranked in the top 10 and this is their third SEC opponent. QB Aaron Murray has completed 68.1 percent of his passes with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. Todd Gurley is averaging 6.3 yards per carry with four touchdowns and Keith Marshall is averaging 4.2 yards per carry seeing a lot of action as well. Chris Conley has 15 catches and two touchdowns, Michael Bennett has 13 catches and two touchdowns, and Arthur Lynch has 11 catches and two touchdowns. The Dawgs defense is allowing 32.5 points and 403.8 yards per game with one interception, three fumble recoveries, and nine sacks. Ramik Wilson has 37 tackles, Amarlo Herrera has 36 tackles, and Leonard Floyd has three sacks. Georgia can score with anyone but they are giving up points in bunches as well.
Tennessee is 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 games overall, 5-11-1 against the spread in their last 17 SEC games, and 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 home games. Georgia is 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six SEC games, and 7-3-1 against the spread in their last 11 games overall. Georgia is 2-5 against the spread in the last seven meetings of these two.
I like the Bulldogs laying the 10.5 points in this spot.
