The Houston Astros have the worst record in baseball and they have a chance to make the Rangers season almost as miserable. Texas is 4-13 in their last 17 games, 0-7 in their last seven as a home favorite, and 12-5 in Holland’s last 17 starts against the AL West. Houston is 17-46 against a left-handed starter, 21-56 in their last 77 games, and 17-46 in Lyle’s last 63 starts. Houston is 12-40 in their last 52 games against Texas.
It is now or never for the Texas Rangers as not making the post season will likely sting plenty but by not at least beating a team like the Astros in crunch time would be brutal and more than likely heads will roll in Texas.
